hillside supper club.
On a spontaneous walk through the neighborhood one weekend, we decided to swing by the Hillside Supper Club for brunch. It's a lovely little restaurant nestled near the foot of Bernal Heights Hill, on the corner of Precita Park. I stumbled upon it while looking for shelter during one of last year's random rainstorms and have continued to go back for its homey food and rustic, out-of-the-way feel. I also really like their mason jar lights.
I ordered the open faced fried egg sandwich and she had the egg white frittata.
Gimin.
Taking a break on the way up.

Snapixel Issue 10
Creativity is something you can try to avoid for a while, but you can never escape it.
I used to write, interview, design and edit for the photography magazine Snapixel. The following three articles are from Issue 10 of the magazine.
I particularly liked writing and designing Edward Olive's story - his wedding photography is defiant and sexy, highlighting the undercurrent of desire that is often downplayed in that genre. In contrast to Olive's smoldering B&W photos, fashion bloggers streetpeeper & theSFstyle provided bright and colorful images that were fun to play around with. Finally, I did a Q&A with Instragram co-founder Kevin Systrom that's featured at the end of the issue. Instagram was launched in October 2010 and we did this Q&A with him at the end of that year. Pretty cool looking back at those thoughts before Instagram became the heavyweight that it is today.
